There is still a lot of confusion about hemp, the non-intoxicating "cousin" of marijuana. Though they may look very similar and both derive from cannabis, hemp and marijuana are different varieties of the Cannabis Sativa plant with vastly different characteristics - kind of like the wild cousin who shared your last name back in the day (or were you that cousin?!).

Hemp is high in cannabidiol (CBD) or cannabigerol (CBG), naturally occurring elements of the plant that have been widely studied for their potential to calm pain, reduce inflammation, ease anxiety, improve sleep and help with other common issues. By law, hemp extract must contain less than 0.3% THC so it does not cause a "high" or intoxicating feeling. This makes hemp a great option for anyone seeking the wellness benefits of cannabis while keeping a clear head and sharp focus.
