Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the dominant cannabinoid found in marijuana, is a go-to for some people suffering with anxiety or depression, but recent studies are showing that although low amounts of THC may be helpful in managing these conditions, high usage of THC may in fact exacerbate them, making symptoms worse and more difficult to manage. 


Cannabidiol (CBD), the dominant cannabinoid found in hemp, has been shown to alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression at all levels of use.  This seems to indicate that CBD and other hemp derived cannabinoids like cannabichromene (CBC) and cannabigerol (CBC), may be more effective for people who are trying to manage stress, anxiety and/or depression.  AND, unlike  THC - CBD, CBC and CBG will not cause intoxicating effects so you can feel calm, cool AND collected.
